At the beginning of the New Year, it’s worth taking advantage of the quiet days to explore Debrecen’s cultural treasures. The temporary exhibitions in the Museum Quarter offer a colorful visual experience.

ART SELECTION – end of season group exhibition and fair

Until: 15 January 2024

Where: Bényi Gallery 

At the fair, the public can choose from 23 artists’ works for their own enjoyment or as a surprise under the tree. Artists who have previously exhibited at the gallery will return, including Olivér Szax, Zsuzsa Gesztelyi Nagy and Sándor Imreh. Their works will be joined by Kata Trom’s necklaces and James Carcass’ stunning perfume bottles.

Transylvanian Art between the Two World Wars – Selection from the Böhm Collection

Where: Déri Museum

The artworks on display come from the private collection of a doctor from Oradea and his son. The entire collection comprises around 250 works of art, of which a selection is now on display at the museum.

Border Age – Exhibition by Zoltán Fátyol and István Tamus

Where: MODEM 

The exhibition entitled Border Age celebrates the 70th birthdays of two Debrecen artists, Zoltán Fátyol and István Tamus, by bringing together works from their mature careers.
