Summer Programs at the Reformed Great Church of Debrecen

Discover – Experience – Listen

On Tuesdays we welcome explorers, on Wednesdays experience-seekers, and on Thursdays music lovers to join our summer programs and discover the Reformed Great Church.

In July and August, visitors can taste the Church’s own wine 40 meters above the ground at sunset, families can take part in experience-based educational workshops, and music lovers will also find a program to enjoy.

Tuesday – For the Lovers of Discovery

Time: 10:00 AM

Ticket price: 1,500 HUF/person

Every Tuesday at 10:00 AM we invite children, grandparents, families, and individual visitors to take part in our unique summer program. Exciting spaces, special objects, and fascinating stories help guests of all ages explore the past and present of the Great Church and Debrecen.

All participants will receive a surprise gift.

This program is included with the museum-education ticket. No prior registration is required.

Meeting point: Church ticket office at 10:00 AM every Tuesday.

Wednesday – For the Lovers of Experiences

Time: 7:00 PM

Ticket price: 3,500 HUF/person

Church wine at sunset from 40 meters high and a guided tour — this is what awaits experience-seekers every Wednesday at 7:00 PM in July and August. During the tour, visitors can explore the church hall, the permanent and temporary exhibitions, and the attic space. Upon reaching the panoramic walkway, guests over the age of 18 can enjoy a tasting of the Great Church’s wine (Mészáros Winery – Red Kadarka and Rosé; grape juice is offered as a non-alcoholic alternative), and admire the sunset between the twin towers from 40 meters above ground.

Tickets are available only in advance (registration not required).

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Church ticket office, at the Karakter 1517 Bookstore and Café, or online at jegy.hu.

A maximum of 35 participants can join each Wednesday program.

Thursday – For the Lovers of Music

Time: 12:00 PM

Ticket price: 1,000 HUF/person

Midday organ music and church visit.

Every Thursday at noon, a 25–30 minute mini organ concert begins, followed by the opportunity for guests to explore the church on their own.
