World Junior Figure Skating and Ice Dance Championships

Debrecen will once again host one of the world's most prestigious sporting events, the ISU World Junior Figure Skating and Ice Dance Championships, from February 25 to March 1, 2025, at the stunning Főnix Arena. This will be the second time that this special competition takes place in Debrecen—the last time was in 2016 when the artistry of young talents on the ice captivated the audience.
The ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union, where skaters within a specific age category compete for the junior world title.
This event is one of the four annual ISU figure skating championships and the most prestigious for junior skaters. Medals are awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. Each category features two programs: a short program or rhythm dance and a free skate.
