The Debrecen Flower Carnival

The Debrecen Flower Carnival is Debrecen's best-known event, one of the biggest in Hungary, and in recent years it has grown into a week-long series of events. Over the past sixty years, it has gained national and international recognition, and in 2009 it was awarded the Special Festivals category of the Outstanding Festival Award. It is the most popular tourist event in Debrecen, with performances by national and international artists and groups, accompanied by spectacular floral compositions. This year, the Debrecen Flower Carnival will again be open to visitors from 14 to 20 August.
